Women's Studies
Women's Studies is an interdisciplinary field of study which seeks to bring the perspectives of several areas of humanities, social and natural sciences to bear on issues of historic and contemporary concern to women. It focuses on questions of interest to women, giving them visibility; it also provides a venue for ideas generated by women, giving them voice. Women's Studies may also serve as an arena of advocacy for social change, which will be of benefit for women, giving them fuller participation in social and political life.
