ESL 14 - Grammar II

  • Prerequisite: ESL 4
  • Corequisite: ESL 11 & 13 & 17

This course is a study and practice of intermediate to advanced grammar. Common grammar problem areas will be focused on with required written compositions based on those specific grammar points. It will provide students with a solid foundation in grammar to succeed in subsequent English, liberal arts, and technical/occupational courses.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of ESL 14, the student will be able to:

  • Understand how intermediate/advanced level grammar works.
  • Identify and correct specific grammar errors
  • Edit sentences/paragraphs for specific grammar points
  • Write original sentences/compositions to illustrate a specific aspect of a grammar point
