MET 101L - Introduction to Meteorology Lab
Course Description
- Prerequisite or Corequisite: MET 101
This lab course includes exercises with meteorological data and measurement systems. Characteristics of Hawaiian winds, temperatures, and rainfall will be covered.
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of MET 101L, the student will be able to:
- Identify the physical processes shaping the weather
- Demonstrate ability to apply scientific systems of measurement to describe natural phenomena
- Interpret and use meteorological charts; demonstrate ability to apply scientific principles, theories and methods
- Assess the impact of human societies
- Critically analyze problems within the framework of the course and communicate this knowledge in written form
