Introduction to Drawing
Course Description: Two-dimensional visualization and rendering of forms, spaces, and ideas through a variety of approaches and media. (3 credits)
Prerequisite: ENG 22/60 or placement in ENG 100
Course Objectives and Outcomes: At the end of the course the student should be able to:
Assessment: Student work will be assessed on the basis
of successful completion of a series of studio projects, and a final cumulative
portfolio evaluation. Criteria of assessment are provided for individual
studio assignments.
Methods of Instruction: Teaching and learning will take place through a series of structured studio and field assignments, lecture/demonstrations, and individual and group critiques in which student work is analyzed for its strengths and areas of recommended improvement.
